What is Shajra e Faqr?

Shajra e Faqr or Sarwari Qadri lineage is a chain of spiritual successors of the Holy Prophet who gained the Divine Trust of Faqr from his court. In fact it was initiated by Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani that leads up to Ali ibn Abi Talib and hence, Prophet Mohammad (pbuh). ‘Sarwari’, means leader which refers to the Holy Prophet, whereas ‘Qadri’ is associated with Ghaus e Azam Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani. Status of a Sarwari Qadri Spiritual Guide

Sultan Bahoo states that Sarwari Qadri lineage or Shajra e Faqr is dominant over all Sufi orders. According to him the spiritual guide of Shajra e Faqr (Sarwari Qadri perfect spiritual guide) has perfect command over contemplation of Ism-e-Allah Zaat. Thus, when he blesses the seeker with the spiritual education and Divine guidance through Ism-e-Allah Zaat. Moreover, he grants him the status equal to his own on the very first day. Hence the seeker becomes indifferent and independent of all needs and his attention remains focused only on the Truth. As a result, gold and soil become equal for him.
