Shajra-e-Faqr

What is Shajra-e-Faqr?

Shajra-e-Faqr or Sarwari Qadri lineage is a chain of spiritual successors of the Holy Prophet who gained the Divine Trust of Faqr from his court. Previously, Shajra-e-Faqr or Sarwari Qadri lineage was known as Qadriyya or Qadri order. In fact, it was initiated by Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani that leads up to Ali ibn Abi Talib and hence, Prophet Mohammad (pbuh). Sarwari means leader which refers to the Holy Prophet, whereas Qadri is associated with Ghaus-e-Azam Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani. Moreover, in the subcontinent Sarwari Qadri lineage reached its peak through Sultan Bahoo.

Status of a Sarwari Qadri Spiritual Guide

Sultan-ul-Arifeen Sultan Bahoo

Sultan Bahoo states that Sarwari Qadri lineage or Shajra-e-Faqr is dominant over all Sufi orders. -According to him, the spiritual guide of Shajra-e-Faqr (Sarwari Qadri perfect spiritual guide) has perfect command over contemplation of Ism-e-Allah Zaat. Thus, he blesses the seeker of Allah with spiritual education and Divine guidance through Ism-e-Allah Zaat. Moreover, he grants him the status equal to his own (spiritual substitution) on the very first day. Hence the seeker becomes indifferent and independent of all needs and his attention remains focused only on the Truth. As a result, gold and soil become equal for him.
