Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Commemorates Urs Sultan Bahoo

Sultan-ul-Arifeen’s death anniversary (Urs Sultan Bahoo) is commemorated every year on the first Thursday of the Islamic month of Jamadi al-Thani.

On Thursday 30th January this year, Tehreek Dawat-e-Faqr organised a grand ceremony in this regard at the Khanqah Sarwari Qadri in Lahore. Patron in Chief Tehreek Dawat e Faqr Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman who is the 31st and present Sheikh of the Sarwari Qadri order presided over the ceremony. A large number of devotees and disciples from across the country attended the event and to get beneficence from the company of perfect Fakir Sultan ul Ashiqeen.

The devotees present in the khanqah warmly welcomed Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen upon his arrival. Vice Patron in chief Sahibzada Sultan Mohammad Murtaza Najib also accompanied Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen. After this, everyone offered Zuhr prayer and then the ceremony formally began.

Naeem Abbas Sarwari Qadri compered the ceremony. He first invited Molana Mohammad Aslam, who came on stage and recited few verses from the Quran. Afterwards, Mohsin Raza recited a beautiful eulogy in honour of the Holy Prophet. Ata-ul-Wahab then came on stage and presented a eulogy in honour of Sultan Bahoo.

Large number of devotees attended the event

Naeem Abbas then invited Mufti Mohammad Farooq Zia for a short address to the attendees. During his address, the speaker said that Tehreek Dawat-e-Faqr is the true representative of Sultan Bahoo’s Sarwari Qadri order today and is striving to spread the message of Faqr in the world.

After the speech in Urs Sultan Bahoo ceremony, Mohammad Ramzan Bahoo recited verses from Abyat-e-Bahoo which the audience highly enjoyed and appreciated. Molana Mohammad Aslam then read Khatam and Mufti Mohamamd Farooq Zia made supplication for the continued progress and prosperity of Tehreek Dawat-e-Faqr.

Once again Mohsin Raza came on stage and offered Durood-o-Salaam, after which Molana Mohammad Aslam made a final supplication.

Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen then met with the devotees and disciples individually. He also inducted many new devotees into the Sarwari Qadri order after taking the oath of allegiance on his sacred hands. As a tradition, he granted the new disciples invocation and contemplation of Ism-e-Allah Zaat.

In the end, the attendees enjoyed specially prepared langar.
