Venue: Zahra Mosque & Khanqah Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen, Village Rangilpur, Via Sundar Adda, Multan Road, Lahore, Pakistan

Organized By: Tehreek Dawat-e-Faqr (Pakistan)

The air was filled with an aura of reverence and spiritual joy as the disciples and devotees from far and wide gathered at the Khanqah Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen in Lahore on the 21st of March 2024. Organised by Tehreek-Dawat-e-Faqr (TDF), the annual Mawlid in Regards to Transference of Divine Trust marks a significant moment in the life of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen as well as the ongoing legacy of the Sarwari Qadri order. This event, held each year on the same date, commemorates the day when the spiritual guide of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen, Sultan-ul-Faqr VI Sultan Mohammad Asghar Ali transferred the Divine Trust to him at the sacred tomb of Prophet Mohammad (pbuh). This designated him as the next Shaikh of the Sarwari Qadri order.

Arrival of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen

The atmosphere was vibrant with anticipation as Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen arrived at the Khanqah, welcomed warmly by the disciples. The event commenced with Sultan Mohammad Naeem Abbas taking the stage as the compere, setting the tone for a day of spiritual enlightenment and celebration.

Molana Yasir Yaseen graced the gathering with recitation from the Holy Quran, filling the hearts of the attendees with Divine verses that echoed through the halls of the Khanqah. Following this, Ramzan Bahu presented a soul-stirring eulogy in honour of Prophet Mohammad (pbuh).

Speech by Sultan Mohammad Hasnain Mehboob

The spiritual discourse continued as Sultan Mohammad Hasnain Mehboob enlightened the audience with an insightful speech, emphasising the significance of the blessed day and its relevance in the spiritual journey of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen. His words resonated deeply with the attendees, inspiring them to reflect upon the profound meaning behind the transference of the Divine Trust. The bearer of Divine Trust is the one whom the Trust of Faqr is transferred by the permission of Prophet Mohammad (pbuh).

During his speech, he mentioned an incident from the life of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen. It was the night of 12th April 1997, Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman was offering tahajjud prayer. Suddenly, his spiritual ‘self’ enlightened and he found himself in the Mohammadan Assembly. He pledged oath of allegiance on the sacred hand of Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) who blessed him with Imam Hasan’s legacy of Faqr. And handed him to Ghaus al-Azam Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani for spiritual training.

Sultan Mohammad Hasnain Mehboob enlightened the audience about what is Imam Hasan’s legacy of Faqr and what is its significance?

The Holy Prophet (pbuh) granted his spiritual succession of Faqr to Ali ibn Abi Talib and Fatimah-tuz-Zahra. Because Fatimah-tuz-Zahra could not take oath of allegiance, hence she transferred her legacy of Faqr to Hasan ibn Ali.

Hasan ibn Ali is the first one who had both, Fatimah-tuz-Zahra’s legacy of Faqr and Ali ibn Abi Talib’s legacy of Faqr. And second person to hold such unique status is Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman.

Eulogy by Ata-ul-Wahab

As the day progressed, Ata ul Wahab took the stage to present a heartfelt eulogy in honour of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen, expressing gratitude and admiration for his exemplary leadership and spiritual guidance. The audience listened attentively, their hearts overflowing with love and respect for their revered Shaikh.

Amidst the spiritual reflections and enlightening discourse, a moment of joyous celebration ensued as Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen cut a cake, symbolising the unity shared among the disciples and followers of the Sarwari Qadri order. The event culminated with the entire congregation joining together in sending salutations upon the Holy Prophet and offering prayers for blessings and guidance.

Special Iftar

As the evening drew to a close, Tehreek Dawat-e-Faqr had arranged for a special meal for the attendees, allowing them to break their fast together in a spirit of fellowship and solidarity.
